I did something I thought I never would, I joined our local Art group here in Tairua and it has been the best thing ever. 😄 It’s quite isolating painting in your studio day after day by yourself, and I do have a lot of one-on-one contact with guests through my regular Art retreats I hold here…. But there’s something about going to a place at the same time every week where everybody is on the same page and everyone is there for a common reason. We all want to connect with creative minds we all want to have a little play around with some medium or another and sometimes we don’t even do that. We just chat and have a cuppa and enjoy the connection.
We are very blessed that our Art group venue is the local fishing club which has extensive and magnificent views of the Tairua Harbour, …. and just a month ago three orca swam right past the club a couple of times and out up into the harbour to feed, a mum and her calf’s, teaching them.

art groups are very good if you like groups. I just prefer yo stay on my own . But i do have a couple of local artists i regulatly interact with so i guess thats ok. Im just not good at groups
As long as I feel no pressure to have to go each week, I’m good with it 😄…as soon as there’s any obligation, I’ll never go again 🤣🤣
