this style is super fiddly and exacting, but it totally appeases my ‘perfectionist’ side, which must break out every now and then….

Summer is so inspiring!!
Blogging via my phone today so please excuse any errors etc….
(thats me on the left up there with my good friend, we are at Big Bay, Manukau Heads, New Zealand)
So loving the summer feeling so inspired by everything around me. Nothing like the healing powers of sun on the water , or the brilliant hues of sunset being saluted by the obligatory glass of wine.
Its been school holidays here so painting has been in short intense spurts, a day here 2 days there, so everything comes put at once .
so here are a few things i find really inspiring….things like TURQUOISE i LOVE…
peacock shades and beautiful imagery…..
turquoise colour within something spiritual……
and surf art…. love the vibrancy, the ocean energy…..
and lastly, my second ‘home’, Tairua, NZ…..

I also continued on with my’ TRIBAL’ series, which I LOVE doing…
as always there is very little planning with any of my paintings, they are all just go with the flow, most of the time I have no idea what the final result will look like and I just play it out as it evolves.
IF i try to plan something it never flows & I often end up leaving it for months before it is finished.
I am currently working on a mix of both, tribal and sun/surf, and its really exciting for me,..
seeing all my styles coming together like a story intertwining.
